If you grew up during the 1950’s or 60’s, then your family may have owned an encyclopedia. Our family had The Book Of Knowledge encyclopedia and also subscribed to what was called the WISDOM MAGAZINE that published six hardcover biographies featuring extraordinary persons in history such as Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln, Cecil B. De Mille, Ernest Hemingway, Pablo Picasso and Walt Disney.
This 81-page hardcover WISDOM MAGAZINE was published in December of 1959 and featured WALT DISNEY about who they wrote: “Walt Disney is one of the noblest influences in the world today. Respected and admired for his continuous and significant contributions in combining successfully the fields of entertainment and education for American youth, he has consistently encouraged the love of learning and knowledge through his many superb productions.”

This large format 10 1/4” x 13 1/4” LIMITED EDITION HARDCOVER MAGAZINE is in very good condition with the exception that although the actual binding of the book is still tight and strong, the “Wisdom The Book Of Knowledge” wording has been torn.
This December 1959 biography of Walt Disney WISDOM MAGAZINE is where I first turned to learn more about the man that fascinated us all. It is full of wonderful information and photographs about Walt and all of the Disney projects that he was responsible for creating.
