  • Condition: Large heavy solid cast metal chess set. Complete set of pieces, no board included. "Cast" on the back of most pieces. Felt bottoms show some wear. Pieces range in size from pawns at about 3.25" to king at 4.75". There is some wear to the gold and silver tone plating from use. One of the Roman pawns has a casting issue with the sword as it is shorter than the others but is not broken (see last 2 pics). The only break I can see is the Viking king unfortunately is missing the tips of his horns (see close up) so that is the main battle scar! There is some tarnishing so the pieces don't all have the exact same tone as can be seen in the pics. A few green spots here and there. Set was purchased by my father in the 90's and was secondhand at the time, not sure of decade made. Please message me if you need any additional photos! Non smoking home.
