Vintage Ornate Kendo Armor (Do Bogu) Set | Handmade Lacquered, w/ Inscriptions

The inscription on the red, inner bamboo side of the chest plate reads, "Humbly made, lacquered by Ujishige Tokyo"
The inscription on the helmet's metal face guard reads "pine tree". I cannot decipher the other two kanji (which are either very old or exclusively Chinese Hanzi).
The gloves of this kendo armor set fit my hands which are a Adult Male Medium.
I am not sure how kendo gloves should fit but they have a suede (deer) leather lining, which can be refit to a degree for comfort.
The metal mesh of the face mask is about 9" tall, 6 ~ 6.5" wide. The width of the helmet's shoulder pads, when splayed, is approximately 26" from shoulder pad tip to shoulder pad tip.
The chest plate has an interior circumference of approx. 26", a breadth of approximately 12.5" at the top of the chest plate under the armpit, a breadth of 10" at the bottom of the chest plate (reaching from either end of one's back), and a height of approximately 13" to 14.5" from the bottom to the top of the front of the chest plate (which covers the upper chest).
My educated guess having worn Tae-Kwon-do sparring armor / gear is that this is an American Adult Medium. But do consider the above measurements.
