Vintage Charlemagne Medieval Unique style Chess 32 piece set Black White red gold painted NO BOARD included Cardinal Industries label.
There is no board and the pieces are made of a plastic I don’t believe they are bakelite as they have what I will refer to as a seam on the sides of pieces. Please do not purchase if you have a concern with the description of the material and unsure of the material. Base pieces are black and white with the red and gold tone paint coloring. Pieces are painted and there is paint wear throughout on pieces as well as some wear and tear. There are slight hairline type “cracks) noticeable on some of the white pieces such as the pawns on the base (see close up photo of the pawns as a representation). I have provided the maximum # of photos for a listing with the 12 and let me know if you need additional photos of any particular part of this set.
Design on the pieces are similar in style to the Charlemagne Medieval Renaissance style
era. Pieces have the weighted bottoms along with the red felt on each piece. Some of the pieces on the bottom have more wear and staining marks on the felt area.
Chess piece set is complete with the 32 pieces as shown, there is no board. Box has a partial gold foil label “Cardinal Industries from Brooklyn New York” 112… (part of the label is torn and cannot read remaining digits).
Original red felt lined box bottom (feels like a sturdy foam type material) with the plastic cover that has heavy wear and scratching to include some chip/cracks on corners. Please do not purchase if this is a concern for you.
