    Description

    Handmade big wooden chess set and board USSR.
    Author's hand-painted, vintage.
    Thema: Folk varie. Warriors and leaders in the national style of the Asian republics of the Soviet Union.
    Produced date is not available to see on the board.
    This chess was presented as a birthday present at 55 years old. There is  inscription gravée on the board square B1 on Russian language:
    For the brother Peter in his 55 anniversaire from Misha and Shura.
    It looks amazing. It is very rare chess set and it impressed by the well preseved condition of the pieces.
    Pieces are in excellent condition.
    The coloring is well preserved.
    One white pawn has a replaced shield (please look at the photo). The original shield is lost. The set was found by me in this condition. This detail do not effect the total impression and value of the set.
    Chessboard in some places has small scratches and traces.
    A very nice set of large Soviet chess pieces hand-written. The condition of conservation of the pieces in this set is unique.
    This unusual very soviet chess set is impressive at first sight.
    It has elements of Russian applied art that resemble oriental asian motives.
    Very nice and pleasant for play chess as well as for decor.
    The form and color of pieces attract from the first view.
    Even people who don't play chess have a wish to moove some pieces on board.
