Ornate Victorian stick pin w/original box, date engraved, 1881

Engraved with the year of the infamous gunfight at the OK Corral! Wonder what this little pin has seen….
This antique silver stick pin must have been special, as it has the engraved date of Nov. 9, 1881, on the back. The pin head is a gorgeous set of initials that I can’t quite decipher. The box is very beat-up, but quite authentic and bears the logo of Howard & Co., a 5th Avenue jeweler in New York City. Note that the button clasp no longer works. Please see photos for details. I have not cleaned it in any way, and it retains a gorgeous old patina. Shipped with USPS First Class.
