    Offered is a mid 20th century German folk art chess set that features vintage hand-crafted playing pieces paired with a latter period chessboard. The (32) figural, hand carved and lacquer finished wood, playing pieces are works of art. The stylized pieces have so may fine artistic details - contrasting natural versus brown and gilt accents. The vintage chessboard features a rich wood grain with an elegant and luxurious finish. Ensemble, the pieces and board are an exceptional set with beautiful coloring!
