This Gibraltar 100 Pound banknote from 2015 was issued to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Sir Joshua Hassan. Its obverse side features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, a crenelated castle tower as a registration device, and the Coat of Arms of Gibraltar. The reverse side features Sir Joshua Hassan also known as Salvador, the chief minister for a total of 22 years and is credited as being the most important architect of Gibraltars move towards self-determination. The note has a dimension of 153 x 82 mm and contains a depth Image holographic stripe to enhance its security features. The banknote is the first in the world to use a holographic foil on the Safeguard substrate.
