Super rare find of a mid century Georges Briard Pyrex ice bucket in the Pineapple Ambrosia pattern!
The glass Pyrex bucket has a fired in black exterior color that shines through the glass on the interior with a mirror finish. The fired on black color shows some surface wear and scratching from rubbing against the metal basket holder as shown in the picture; this is a common find on these ice buckets. The glass bucket measures 5 1/4” in height and 6 1/2” in diameter; it is marked Pyrex, made in the USA & 2 qt. on the bottom.
The brass basket measure 6” in height and 8” in width from handle to handle. It’s in great condition but does have patina & tarnished areas on the surface as shown in the pictures.
The Georges Briard cover is brass with a ceramic insert decorated with the pineapple ambrosia pattern. It measures 6 7/8” in diameter. It’s in excellent condition but the brass areas are also showing some patina & tarnishing as shown in the photos.
