Quite a large, heavy & well-made Edwardian era pin depicting a harp / lyre in multi-color 18k gold w/ a silver top that glitters with old rose cut diamonds. A row of fine color natural rubies add some color, along with several lustrous natural pearl accents. One tiny rose cut diamond is missing, but does not detract from the beauty of this very significant antique piece!

95% of all corundum (sapphire & ruby) is low heat treated to improve color and clarity. It is usually done to the gem rough before leaving the country of origin and before the stones have been cut and polished. This practice has been done for centuries and is considered common practice in the gem industry. Only gemological testing can determine whether a stone has been heat-treated or not.
