    Description

Vintage Drueke No. 0 Wooden Chessman Set - missing Queen
Includes Original Box & 4 Pages of Original Instructions.
    Approx. Year 1914 - 1917.
The box is all intact with no splits along the sides. There are what appears to be stains on the sides and bottom of the box.
The instructions are not in the best of shape but still holding together and you can still read each word.
All the chessmen are in really nice condition with no damage that I can see.
This is a very old and fragile set and is in really "decent shape" for its age.
Here is a bit of what it says from the actual instructions to give you an idea of date...
To those who wish something more thorough, we suggest Lasker's "Common Sense in Chess", Price .00. Players slightly advanced will extract more enjoyment and instruction, too, out of the Marshall's Chess Swindles.
Those desirous to keep up on the current events in the Chess world may subscribe at .00 the year for the American Chess Bulletin. 150 Nassau St., New York, N.Y.
The two books referred to above may
be purchased from the American Chess Bulletin or ordered through any book store.
