    Description

Dayton Audio DAEX32Q-8 Dual Steel Spring Balanced 32mm Exciter 20W 8 Ohm The DAEX32Q-8 from Dayton Audio can turn most rigid, flat surfaces into a speaker. Designed specifically for mounting to vertical surfaces, this exciter uses a dual spring spider to better support the large neodymium motor providing improved linearity. With a 2-layer 32 mm voice coil, this exciter can handle up to 40 watts peak for high output even when attached to thicker surfaces. To ensure maximum acoustic energy transfer between the transducer and the surface to which it is attached, 3M VHB (Very High Bond) adhesive is pre-applied... just peel and stick! This exciter is perfect for turning whatever you can imagine into a speaker such as cabinet doors, monitors, windows, garage doors, ect… Note: An exciter's frequency response and sensitivity are completely dependent on the exciter's designated surface. Thinner, smaller materials will tend to be louder and create a mid/tweeter response. Thicker, larger materials (with multiple exciters) will be slightly quieter but result in a more full-range sound. Specifications: • Power handling: 20 watts RMS, 40 watts peak • VCdia: 32 mm • Nominal impedance: 8 ohms • Re: 6.5 ohms • Le: 0.36 mH • Fs: 580 Hz • Dimensions: 2.38" (60.5 mm) dia. x 0.78" (19.9 mm) H • Adhesive dimensions: 1.26" (32 mm) outside diameter, 0.9" (23 mm) inside diameter • Weight: 132.6 grams.
