Repair Kit for Linn LVX and Linn Basik Plus Tonearm Clip
It is a common problem for the arm rest clip on Linn LVX and Basik Plus arms to break. After many years, the plastic has sadly become brittle.
The part has not been available from Linn for many years and owners have had to risk cartridge/stylus damage as a result of not being able to stow the arm securely.
I have now arranged to have the part manufactured so that owners of these arms can continue to use them safely.
What you will get is:
1) The rotating part of the clip which generally breaks (this is the sickle shaped part shown in the third picture)
2) Full instructions on how to replace it. Thankfully, this DOES NOT require the main part of the clip to be removed, or the arm to be removed from the turntable
3) A small tool to assist in the task
Note 1: The main part of the clip (see item on left in second picture) is not supplied. Contact me if this part of your clip is broken.
Note 2: This part will not work for the Linn Akito arm. Contact me first if you have an Akito.
