Micormosaic is extremely labor intensive process which involves small tiles of usually colored glass called tessarae to construct the most extraordinary images
This very large and amazing example of mastery depicting an elaborate and colorful floral arrangement that overflows with a variety of summer blossoms
This stunning masterpiece is set against black glass and simply mounted in six (6) 14K gold prongs that extend from the base frame on reverse
The frame has partially worn out stamp and metal was acid tested to confirm "14K"
The brooch is presented in antique fitted box

Condition:
Very good antique condition. The plaque does not have any cracks and mosaic appears to be all intact. The edges of the plaque have several abrasions and chips shown in photos. Several scratches can be noted upon very close inspection, wont be very apparent when brooch is worn. The plaque is not set tightly within a frame but is secure.
