    What we have here is a VTG Primitive Flax Hackle Hetchel" Made back in the Day 1800's for The Fields with many different uses the for pulling kernels barley pods, wheat, Flax, wool .Very Stout heavy thick Quarter Sawn Oak with long (Square head Nails coming through where the wood is wrapped in metal,.This is 12 in. Long by 3 in wide and stands 4 1/2 Tall,Very sharp and very cool almost  looks like a mini bed of Nail needles to lay on. This has 2 Holes / Notches for a Tool of some sort to Nail onto for usage in the Fields.Primitive tool from the 1800's rare to find in such great Condition as this one.
