Fabulous industrial age metal wire mesh trash basket by Northwestern Expanded Metal Co. Made in Chicago in the very early 1900's.  NEMCO model. Original with manufacturers information embossed on the bottom. Patent date is 1923. The steel mesh is completely intact and does not appear stressed or out of shape. The flared top rim is rolled and sturdy. Has distressed white paint; some scratches and wear to the interior bottom and underside. Clean and functional for your home, apartment or office. Perfect for any decor. Measures 12 inches tall; metal base measures 9 inches in diameter and the flared top edge measures 12 inches in diameter. Leave as is or paint your favorite retro color!
