This a antique cast iron foot or knee pedal of some sort. The bracket measures 10" across and has embossed number 227781. The pedal measures 2" x 4 3/8" and numbered 202453. Found alongside a Singer treadle sewing machine base but don't know if it is related. It has overall rust but hinges are free, may clean up o.k..
