    Description

    You are bidding on a full set 32 antique chessmen probably made in India or China, pieces carved from bovine bone. The set consists of 16 white and 16 lightly tea-coloured pieces. 3 inch/7.5cm King with base diameter of about 1 inch/2.6cm. The condition is used, there are small nibbles and dings here and there from age and usage. There are repairs on 2 pieces, the white king cross's left & right tips broke off, they had been glued to their orginal position. Now the cross can be turned and taken out without problem only need to do gently in my opinion.  The other is to one black rook's collar broken off and had also been glued back. Fortunately these repairs makes his set still displaying well. Please see the pictures closely as they are important part of the descriptions. ** The chess board in the picture is not included in this auction, it is just to show the pieces in perpective.
