Antique 14K gold huge Amethyst Pearl convertible brooch pendant & necklace clasp

Description

This is a very beautiful and rare early 20th century late Victorian or Edwardian era huge solid 14 K yellow gold convertible brooch pendant or five strand necklace clasp . It is big and chunky and weighs 18.6 grams and measures over 23 mm both directions with the bail down. The bale is sturdy and will hold up to a 3 mm chain comfortably and is on a swivel so it down when it's not being worn as a pendant . On the back it has a very sturdy pin and a perfect working hooked closure .  Next it has a huge 13 mm wide box clasp with a fold-over safety clasp as well that weighs 4 grams by itself And is marked and signed  "  TcL 14K  1c64  "   This amazing piece of craftsmanship is 16 mm thick when it's all together and has five eyelets on each side so that it can be worn as a clasp for up to a huge five strand necklace however two or three of the eyelets could be used without using all five .  Now on the front is a amazing 15 mm x 13 mm old cut faceted natural amethyst gemstone ,about 14.0 ct gemstone it is surrounded by 12 gorgeous grade A round natural pearls all between 4.7 mm and 4.9 mm , these are beautiful natural pearls without bumps or imperfections and some have a slightly pinkish hue a couple others have a creamy off-white or very light silver-ish hue . These are all the original natural 100 year old pearls and amethyst and they have been carefully examined under magnification, the pearls are without scratches and the amethyst gemstone only has a couple of tiny flea bite chips along the edge seen under microscope and not noteworthy. The amethyst center stone sits in four very sturdy claw type prongs and all of the pearls are very securely set . It has also been tested here as solid 14 K gold with a yellow or very very light rose color .  Please study the photos this is a very rare and amazing antique and we have never seen another one like it,  it is extremely beautiful and in excellent antique condition .   ..
