This is a beautiful, lustrous, and large Rose Quartz stone cut into Oval Checkerboard.  I bought it years ago from a famous wholesale dealer in Spain called Cadin Gems.  They source most of their gems from Brazil and are one of the few companies that does not artificially enhance their gemstones (via heat, irradiation, oil, etc in order to make cheap stones appear more valuable).  Many of the stones out there are cheap lab creations or heat-treated stones, but these are 100% natural and unaltered (aside from the cutting process of course.)
