    Description

    This is a 1944 Virginia truck license plate.  This is in good condition with one small extra holes upper left and no missing material.    During World War II the country was trying to save metal for the war shortage so Virginia made their license plates out of a fiberboard material and they were also embossed.  Most if not all of the other states that made fiberboard plates were flat.   Please see photo.
