Extremely RARE Variety 1861-O CSA Obv. (FS-401, WB-102, W-11) Seated Liberty Half Dollar die minted while the New Orleans Mint was under the control of the Confederacy. Graded and Certified by PCGS G04, Good. This is the most rare, highly sought after and most collected die combination tied directly to the time period which the New Orleans mint was under control of the Confederacy to mint Seated Liberty Half Dollars. This die has a specific diagnostic die crack which travels through the bridge of Liberty's nose upwards and to the left until it hits the denticles. This coin shares an obverse with the four known Confederate Half Dollars. Extremely RARE to locate in ANY grade!!! A true rarity in ANY condition.
