A very attractive 1848 O better date seated liberty half dollar graded XF 40 by PCGS. It holds a full liberty on the shield of the obverse with very sharp feather definition on the reverse. It holds crusty original surfaces and is entirely un-messed with. This appealing coin has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
This New Orleans Mint date holds a total mintage of 3,180,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 500 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 29 graded Extra Fine 40 by PCGS.
